PHX: Re-sign Aucoin/Upshall

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) – The Phoenix Coyotes have re-signed defenseman Adrian Aucoin to a two-year contract.
Terms of the deal were not released but according to RDS, Aucoin will make $4 million over the two seasons, $1.8 million in the first year, and $2.2 million in the second year.
The 36-year-old Aucoin registered eight goals and 20 assists while appearing in all 82 games last season, his first in the desert. He added two assists in seven playoff games as Phoenix was eliminated in the first round by Detroit.
Aucoin proved to be an asset in the shootout, netting six winnings goals to lead the league.
“He is an intelligent, puck-moving defenseman who brought tremendous leadership to our dressing room last season,” said Coyotes general manager Don Maloney. “We are looking forward to having him continue his career with the Coyotes.”
The Ontario native has 116 goals and 248 assists in 933 career games with Vancouver, Tampa Bay, the New York Islanders, Chicago, Calgary and Phoenix.
Earlier in the week, the ‘Yotes also re-signed F Scottie Upshall.
