When Michal Neuvirth suffered a lower-body injury on November 12th, the Flyers were having serious goaltending issues. In his nine games played, Neuvirth has a 4-2-0 record and was pulled and replaced by Mason in three games. His .895 save percentage is, well, terrible and serves as a reminder of how far the Flyers have come since then.

We’ve come from demanding a purge of the goaltending to running through a ten-game win streak and bounce back performance from Mason, and even a little review of what Stolarz could bring to the team.

Now the Flyers have activated Neuvirth and Stolarz will be re-joining the Phantoms. Neuvirth will be available for the Flyers game against the New York Rangers, but will most likely be the backup. With Mason looking like his regular self, it will be interesting to see how Neuvirth performs once he gets back into the net.
