NHL Nightly Overtime – 2/7

Tonight’s NHL GIFs have some action of a possible slewfoot, career first and second goals, some great saves, a change of scenery, & more.

Tim Thomas, formerly of the Boston Bruins, sitting out this season, is now a member of the New York Islanders, who dealt a conditional draft pick for Thomas.


P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens had a questionable move in tonight’s game vs. the Buffalo Sabres. Is this a slewfoot? You be the judge!



J.T. Miller of the New York Rangers, playing in his 2nd career NHL game tonight, scored his first AND his second goals of his career vs. the New York Islanders. The Rangers went on to defeat the Islanders by a score of 3-1.

John Giannone of MSG Network took a puck to the face as the reporter between the benches. What a trooper.


Braden Holtby, goalie for the Washington Capitals (who lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 5-2) made a dazzling save to rob Sidney Crosby of a goal in the 2nd period of tonight’s game.

Jonathan Huberdeau of the Florida Panthers scored in the shootout to lead to the win over the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 3-2.

Alex Galchenyuk of the Montreal Canadiens also dazzled in a shootout to score for the Montreal Canadiens. The Sabres won the game 5-4.
