Lehigh Valley Phantoms Preview: Feb 13 to 19

Allentown PA: Through 48 games this 2016-17 season, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference with a 32 wins, 14 losses for 66 points, currently Number 2 in the East Conference and 2nd in the Atlantic division and are only 9 points out of 1st place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Last Week was a busy week for the Phantoms which saw them make 2 roster moves and also a new franchise record was set. During the Phantoms shutout win over Binghamton Senators on Wednesday, Mark Zengerle and Danick Martel would score their goals six seconds apart in the first period for the fastest goals in franchise history. The Phantoms would split the weekend series against St. John’s IceCaps with a 4-2 comeback win on Friday and fall on Saturday night 4-3.
February 10: All star forward Jordan Weal got called up to the Philadelphia Flyers as they placed forward Travis Konecny on IR, to fill Weal spot on the roster, Phantoms called up forward Chris McCarthy from the Reading Royals of the ECHL.
February 11: The Phantoms called up forward Steven Swavely from the Reading Royals of the ECHL.
Schedule for the Phantoms for this Week:
A big game against the 1st place leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to take place on Valentines Day which could be very interesting down the stretch of the season. After the battle against the Penguins, it is a Friday & Saturday night games against the Hartford Wolf Pack from PPL Center and the weened ends with road game against the Utica Comets.
The Phantoms are 2-3 against Hartford this season while they are 1-2 against the Penguins and are 2-0 against Utica Comets.
