First off, I’d like to thank Andy Miele for taking the time to do this interview. I would also like to thank his agent Scott Norton for setting it up. It’s greatly appreciated.

Just for clarification, “TC” stands for Todd Cordell and “AM” stands for Andy Miele.

TC: For those who are not familiar with you just yet, can you tell them what kind of player you are, and what you bring to the table?

AM: I would consider my self a playmaker with a feisty style.

TC: If you had to choose one current NHL player that best models your game, who would it be?

AM: Been asked that question several times and I have never had an answer for a player that I play like. I like to create my own style of play.

TC: What was your initial reaction when you found out you would win the Hobey Baker Award?

AM: If you watch the video it took a second for me to respond because I just didn’t believe it.

TC: What does winning the Hobey Baker to mean you?

AM: It obviously means a ton to me because nobody going into my college career thought I’d win it.

TC: If it all how did it change your mindset heading into the off-season?

AM: What changed my mind set going into the off season is the opportunity in Phoenix.

TC: What does your off-season workout consist of?

AM: My off season work out consists of this new style of training called Syphus training.

TC: What is being nominated for an ESPY like, and how was your experience at the awards?

AM: Being nominated for an ESPY was amazing and very humbling. Being around all those famous people and being “the other guy” haha. It was a great experience for me and hopefully some day I’ll be back there.

TC: You obviously had several options to start your NHL career with; why the Coyotes?

AM: The Coyotes have a great staff and the opportunity there was hard to pass up.

TC: How do you feel about the direction the team is heading and how do you fit in?

AM: I believe the team will be in great shape heading into the season, like I said earlier they have a great staff there and some great veterans to lead the way.

TC: Do you feel you are ready to contribute to the Coyotes this season?

AM: Too early to say.

TC: Lastly, how do you feel about being teammates with twitter superstar Paul Bissonnette, otherwise known as “BizNasty2point0″?

AM: Haha, every person I talk to asks me what he is like, I would like to say I finally have some twitter competition BUT he is like an NHL superstar when it comes to twitter, and I am a high school all-state player.

Once again, I’d like to thank Andy and his agent Scott Norton of Norton Sports Management (NSM) for their cooperation.
